So when the clock strikes midnight and you prepare for the year ahead, what better way to welcome the New Year than with that perfect little dress!

Your wallet may be a little thin immediately following the holidays, but luckily, there are several ways to find a fabulous outfit without dipping into your savings account.

Post-holiday sales provide markdowns on clothing, jewelry, shoes and accessories that can reach up to 70 percent in many department stores. You may also find additional deals by using mobile apps to find coupons and discounts for popular retailers.

Online is the way to go

Online sales may also offer additional savings and if you’re worried about ordering online and receiving your dress on time, find out if you can pick up the dress at the store.

Dress up an old favorite
If you’re budget-crunched after the holidays, consider forgoing a new dress altogether and dress up an oldie but a goodie with new jewelry and shoes.
