‘Reasons Why Debt Sucks’ Video Contest

Consolidated Credit hosts a video contest, Reasons Why Debt Sucks. Most unique debt success story will win a free iPad!

Consolidated Credit is launching a national YouTube contest now through June 30, 2011 with the hope of swaying people to share how they got into debt and what creative steps they are taking to pay off their debt. With rising gas prices, a staggering unemployment rate, and low levels of money management skills, Americans from all every walk of life are suddenly finding themselves in serious debt.

engaging in a real conversation with people about their personal finances through this contest, Consolidated Credit intends to spark a viral awareness about the need and importance of financial literacy in America. “With this contest, we will spark an interchange of ideas of how to combat debt and people will have a chance to acknowledge, discuss, and deal with their personal finance issues with innovative solutions from peers. In addition, they will get a chance to win a FREE iPad,” said Gary Herman, President of Consolidated Credit.

With nearly 20 years of experience in the credit card debt industry, Herman and his team of certified credit counselors will pick the winner based on their clarity, creativity, and uniqueness in their battle to overcome debt. Herman has encountered millions of Americans that have found themselves in debt for various reasons and wants to help unite those individuals through today’s leading communication platforms – Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. “I’ve heard so many scenarios of how people have gotten into debt – but now I want communities from all over the country to share their stories with each other through this YouTube video contest and support each other in becoming debt free,” said Dvorkin, author of Credit Hell: How To Dig Out of Debt.

To get a chance to win a FREE iPad, contestants must like Consolidated Credit’s Facebook page, submit a response video to Consolidated Credit’s Youtube page explaining how they got into debt and what they are doing to dig themselves out, and fill out this form.
