Turn Last Year’s Style into the New Year’s Trend!
We are known to give frugal tips and advice at the Miss Money Bee blog as it relates to necessities, like groceries or saving money on your utility bill. But, people (and when I say people, I mean me) don’t want to always focus on the hum-drum part budgeting. Instead, I want to have fun and focus on shopping! Shopping may be one of my favorite hobbies. But, no matter how much I adore fashion, I must stick to my budget and incorporate frugal thinking into my lifestyle! I’ve compiled a few ideas to upgrade your current wardrobe for the New Year with little to no costs involved!

Another frugal way to spice up your wardrobe is to add on to existing simple pieces, like a solid color skirt. Buy some inexpensive lace and glue it to the bottom of the trim of the skirt that you already own. It will look so chic and new for just a few dollars and a few minutes of your time! You can put it with a simple graphic T-shirt like the one pictured or you can match it with a little sweater that you already have to complete the overall look.
Practically every woman has a black dress in their closet. Want to spice it up without going over budget? Buy some jewels and beads from a craft store. Find some super glue and give that dress a little jazz! You’ll have a new outfit and you can be sure that when you go out, no one will have on the same outfit as you! 😉 Check out this picture that displays stylish jewels that were glued to the shoulders of this simple black dress.
Mix old tights/leggings with new tights/leggings – Overlay lace tights on top of a solid color tight and you can frugally make good use of last year’s tights which gives you a new look for no additional money, and keeps you warm at the same time.
One of the latest fashion trends is thick chain necklaces. So, to get this great look without spending ANY money, simply take a few necklaces that you already own, and simply combine them. Here they have combined a simple pearl necklace and a few inexpensive beaded necklaces to create a cute chunky necklace!
